D-S Exteriors Update: A Personal Letter from Dan and Steve Fluett

Dear Valued Friends and Customers,

After more than 50 wonderful years of serving this community, we have made the bittersweet decision to retire.

Since we started D-S Exteriors, our commitment to quality and personal attention has been at the heart of everything we’ve done. The relationships we’ve built with you (many spanning decades and multiple generations) have been the most rewarding part of this journey. We deeply appreciate the trust you’ve placed in us; it has been a true honor to be a part of your homes and your lives.

Passing the Torch

We wanted to ensure that the legacy of D-S Exteriors would continue with someone who shares our passion for craftsmanship. We are pleased to introduce Benjamin Ballinger as the new owner. With 16 years of experience building and operating service businesses, Ben understands that a company is only as good as the relationships it keeps.

What is Staying the Same?

We know that change can bring questions, so we want to be clear about what is not changing:

• The Team: Joe, a face many of you have known for nearly 30 years, continues to oversee our day-to-day operations. Additionally, our veteran team of installers, who are the same people who have worked on your homes for decades, are staying right where they are.
• The Standards: While the leadership is changing, the “D-S Way” remains our North Star. We are committed to the same rigorous installation protocols and premium material selections that have defined our reputation since the 1970s. Our clients can expect the same uncompromising attention to detail and structural integrity, now backed by the renewed energy and streamlined communication of our new leadership team.
• Our Involvement: We (Dan and Steve) are remaining in an advisory capacity to ensure a seamless transition.

While we are stepping away from the daily grind to enjoy retirement, we are incredibly confident in Ben’s leadership. We’re excited to watch this business grow while staying true to the values we founded it on half a century ago.
